Tender Retail at nexo standards Annual Conference 2026
Warsaw · October 7 to 8, 2026
Tender Retail is attending the nexo standards Annual Conference 2026 in Warsaw.
This year's theme is When Industries Converge: modern payments start with nexo standards. The conference brings together the merchants, processors, schemes and technology providers who build on nexo specifications.
nexo standards are open, ISO 20022-based specifications for how the parts of a payment acceptance chain communicate: the POS to the payment application, the payment application to the acquirer, the terminal to the system that manages it, and the payment application on the terminal itself.
As independent payment experts, with payment logic that sits within the software rather than the hardware or the acquirer, Tender Retail has a direct stake in standards that keep every link in the payment acceptance chain speaking a common language.
We are an associate member of nexo standards and support all four nexo protocol layers: Retailer, Acquirer, FAST and TMS. All four are in production with our customers today.
Supporting all four matters because a standard applied to one link in the chain leaves the others proprietary. A common language on every link is what makes the parts independent of each other, so a retailer can add a terminal, change an acquirer or bring on a new POS platform without rebuilding what already works.
